Rzucewo (German: Rutzau) is a seaside resort in Poland in the voivodeship Pomerania at the Kashubian coast the Gdańsk Bay (specifically their Northeastern Treils, the Cute bay). The place is immediately on the Polish Baltic coast.

background

The place is quite small and manageable. It is therefore particularly suitable for tourists who, away from the hustle and bustle, are looking for rest and relaxation on the beach and in nature. In the north of the place is the headland named after the place Cypel Rzucewski.

The place was inhabited by seal hunters as early as the Neolithic Age, the archaeological excavations, in particular worked amber jewelry, can be viewed in the local cultural center. The site was so important that the cultural epoch of the Neolithic Age can be traced to the Gdańsk Bay Rzucewo culture named. The old fishing village, which was mentioned as a manor in the 14th century, is best known for its castle in the neo-Gothic style from the 19th century, which is now a luxury hotel. The castle was built around 1840 by the Below in the English style with a romantic park.

Also worth seeing is the avenue of lime trees from the village to Osłonin, which, according to a legend, is about King Jan III Sobieski planted in the 17th century when his sister Katarzyna Sobieska was the owner of the estate.
