Schuleberg in the Upper Harz, a district of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, is a small village on the Okertalsperre in resin.
background
The place was created in the 1950s on the slope of the Kleiner Wiesenberg and is the replacement settlement for the village of Unterschulenberg, which was submerged in 1956 when the Okertalsperre was dammed. Since 2015, Schulenberg (300 inhabitants) and Altenau (1800 inhabitants) have formed the mountain town of Altenau-Schulenberg in the Upper Harz Mountains.

Tourist Attractions
The Okertalsperre is the biggest attraction in Schulenberg. In the summer months, excursion boats operate with moorings in Schulenberg, on the Weisswasserbrücke (B498), on the pre-barrier wall near Altenau, and on the main barrier wall ([1]) on the reservoir.
church
The Sankt Petrus Chapel, built between 1954 and 1955, is in Schulenberg.
The chapel is 21 meters long and the tower 25 meters high. The church has 190 seats.
Romkerhall
On the B498 in the direction of Goslar is the hamlet of Romkerhall, which consists of a hotel and is called the smallest kingdom in Germany. The Romkerhall waterfall is well worth seeing. The water of the Romke falls 70 meters on a vertical rock face and then runs into the Oker.
