The small town Wolframs-Eschenbach is in the district Ansbach in Middle Franconia southeast of Ansbach.

Wolframs-Eschenbach, first mentioned in the 11th century (until 1917 Obereschenbach) is the hometown of the medieval minstrel Wolfram von Eschenbach and location of the Robber Hotzenplotz film from 1974, which came to the Teutonic Order in the 13th century and remained in its possession until 1805. He has had town charter since 1332, with the town being formed around the fortified church district. The walling with two city gates goes back to the 13th and 14th centuries.

Tourist Attractions
- The Catholic Parish Church of the Assumption. The existing 13th century building of the Liebfrauenmünster was built by the Teutonic Order, the substructure of the west tower is older.
- The rococo-style Catholic Parish Church of St. Sebastian west of the city has a late Gothic choir.
- The former Teutonic Order Castle is now the town hall. It was built in 1623 as a dump for the Landkomtur of the Teutonic Order. A Zehntstadel is attached to the two-wing complex.
- The ex Bailiwick of the Teutonic Order is a two-storey half-timbered building with a high gable. There is a renaissance portal on the massive ground floor.
- The old City Hall on Wolfram-von-Eschenbach-Platz has half-timbered upper floors.
- The former Princely inn has a sgraffito decor on the facade.
- The city has some notable ones Half-timbered houses from the 15th century.
- The City fortifications is completely preserved, partly up to 4 m high. This includes the upper gate and the lower gate as well as the kennel.
