Garlands span a street on the occasion of the Thanksgiving and Local Festival. The houses are equipped with crop crowns made from grain.
  • The Thanksgiving and local festival - A traditional folk festival (around the 3rd weekend in August) that has been celebrated for over 150 years, on the occasion of which the residents of the city richly and lovingly decorate the streets.
  • The fairy tale week - Especially attractive for children, starting on Easter Sunday, the entire spa park is transformed into a fairytale land for 7 days and Ms. Holle shakes off her pillows every day at 3 p.m., along with many other small events.

  • Total bike in the Werra valley - On the last Sunday in June every year from 9 a.m. you can walk the 20 km long section of the B27 between Bad Sooden-Allendorf and Witzenhausen go by bike or inline skates.
