The Camacha municipality belongs to the administrative area of Santa Cruz. It is considered the center of what has been handed down on Madeira Basket weaving craft. Its products can be viewed on the main square in a mixture of souvenir supermarket, snack bar, café and hotel on several floors. That as clock tower well-known building cannot be overlooked. The fastest way to get to Camacha from the ER-101 coastal highway is through one 1 Tunnel to the coast from exit 15 2 Exit Garajau to reach out. Practical advice
Visitors should be aware that Camacha is worth a short visit, but is not the first choice as a neighborhood location. Hikers and nature freaks will find much better places on the island that are closer to the focal points of really interesting trails. Package tourists will find a better infrastructure in Funchal or Canico to plan their own excursions.
On the other hand, a nice place to live here combined with your own rental car will hardly have any disadvantages in terms of traffic compared to other alternatives.
