AirlinesAsia often offered lower rates than their competitors Europeans or Americans. Now they are starting to adopt the discount airlines, started in Europe and the United States. In South East Asia, the negotiation of an air agreement binding the ASEAN countries is underway, but on the rest of the continent flights are still severely regulated by bilateral agreements.
Asian companies are generally less expensive than their American or European counterparts, they are expected to grow in the years to come.

China
The first company low-cost Chinese was launched in July 2005, with many more to follow. For International flights, you can already connect from Singapore at Chengdu, Macau, Taipei and Xiamen.
- Hong Kong Express – connects Hong Kong at Guangzhou and Hangzhou.
- China United – China United takes off from Nanyuan Airport in Beijing to various cities in northern China.
India
The Indian air transport market is liberalizing rapidly. Four domestic carriers are already offering their services and many more will follow. In addition, a Singaporean operator Jetstar Asia offers flights from Singapore towards Bangalore and its competitor Tiger Airways is expected to follow.
- Air India Express – Air India Express is the division low-cost of Air India. This carrier currently has routes to the Middle East such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Salalah.
- Go Air – Go Air based at Mumbai and serves many Indian cities.
- Spice Jet – Spice Jet having started in May 2005. It promises fares from 99 INR.
Japan
- Air Do – The oldest carrier low-cost from Japan, Hokkaido International Airlines connects Tokyo at Sapporo, Asahikawa and Hakodate. Bought by ANA in 2000, it is still present.
- Skymark Airlines – Skymark Airlines] connects Tokyo at Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Tokushima, Kobe and Osaka (Kansai International Airport).
- Skynet Asia Airways – Skynet Asia Airways connects Tokyo at Miyazaki, Kumamoto and Nagasaki.

South East Asia
Southeast Asia has the network of companies low-cost the most developed in Asia, with many operators and therefore fierce competition. In June 2006, you can go to any country in Southeast Asia except the East Timor and the Laos by borrowing a company low-cost.
- Air Asia – Company Malaysian.
- Air Philippines – Manila, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Daegu.
- Cebu Pacific Air – mainly thefts in Philippines, but also Manila, Cebu and Davao towards Hong Kong, Seoul and Singapore.
- Jetstar Asia / Valuair
- Lion air – Since Jakarta to the other islands of Indonesia but also Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Singapore.

- South East Asian Airlines ("SEAir") – Domestic flights to Philippines.
- Tiger airways – Company based in Singapore. Operates towardsAustralia (Darwin), the China (Guangzhou, Haikou, Macau, Shenzhen), the'Indonesia (Padang), the Philippines (Manila), the Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Krabi, Phuket), the Vietnam (Danang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City).
