The community Lermoos is a vacation spot in Tyrol at the feet of the Wetterstein with the Zugspitze, Ammergau Alps and Mieming chain;

The historical importance of the place Lermoos results from its location as a station on the Via Claudia Augusta, the Roman path over the Fernpass.
Around the year 1060 Lermoos is mentioned for the first time in a border description and belongs to Brixen, in 1266 Lermoos becomes part of Tyrol.

Lermoos train station is at the Ausserfernbahn, from Garmisch-Partenkirchen (in D) across the Bavarian-Austrian border, Lermoos, Bichlbach, Heiterwang-Plansee, Reutte in Tyrol and Pfronten to Kempten.
By bus
In the street
- out Austria via the toll-free Fernpass route, it has a connection in Imst to the toll road Inntalautobahn.
- out Germany (Augsburg / Stuttgart area) via Füssen and then on over the Fernpass.
- out Germany (Munich area), just before Garmisch-Partenkirchen turn towards Fernpass and continue to Lermoos.
