In an east-west direction, the Mansfelder Land is across the Südharzautobahn A 38 reachable. A second highway that A 71, leads from direction Erfurt and ends at Sangerhausen into the A 38.
The runs parallel to the A 38 Southern Harz Railway Line of Hall to kassel and has stops in Sangerhausen and Eisleben. Although this is a double-track and electrified main line, it is only used by local trains. Another rail connection leads from Erfurt about Sangerhausen and Hettstedt direction Magdeburg.
