Wettin Castle on the banks of the Saale

The Lower Saale Valley is a nature park in the central Saxony-Anhalt, between Calbe and Hall. At the same time, the name stands for the no longer completely flat landscape between the Magdeburg Börde or the lowland in the north and northwest, the Pre-flaming in the east (across the Elbe), the Central German chemistry triangle in the southeast and south and the Mansfeld country in the southwest.
