Neuenstadt am Kocher is a city in Heilbronner Land in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The core of the old town lies on a ridge between the rivers Stove and Brettach.

Neuenstadt went out of a settlement called Helmet waistband which is only a few 100 m away from today's city. Reasons for relocating the location can only be guessed at. The districts of Bürg, Cleversulzbach, Kochertürn and Stein am Kocher were incorporated in 1972/73.
Neighboring places are Eberstadt (Württemberg), Neckarsulm, Bad friedrichshall, Oedheim, Neudenau, Hardthausen am Kocher and Langenbrettach.
