background
The formerly independent communities Herbolzheim and Siglingen, the hamlets of Kreßbach and Reichertshausen hamlets and other residential areas belong to Neudenau.
Neudenau was first mentioned in a document in 1251, came into the possession of Kurmainz in 1365 and remained so until 1802. In 1806 it became Baden. The Herbolzheim district has existed since the 7th century and has a similar history. Siglingen was founded around 800, came to the Lords of Weinsberg in 1308, became part of the Electoral Palatinate in 1445 and part of Württemberg in 1504. As a result of the municipal reform in 1975, the municipalities merged as the city of Neudenau.
