Background
In medieval times, thanks to the development of the villages around Passirano Morning is Passirano Evening Passirano was born around the respective castles, ruled by the Passirani, a local feudal family that gave the town its name.
After a violent plague epidemic, in 1478, the surviving inhabitants built the Sanctuary of San Rocco, halfway between the two villages. Over time, new houses were developed around the sanctuary, so much so that in the nineteenth century the two centers merged. The sanctuary was enlarged and became the current church parish church of San Zenone.
At the end of the nineteenth century its municipal territory was enlarged to include the hamlet of Monterotondo and in the thirties the hamlet of Camignone was also added.
