Pleinfeld is a market in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen. The place is located on the Großer Brombachsee and, along with Gunzenhausen, is an important tourist place in the Franconian Lake District and the largest town on the Großer Brombachsee. Pleinfeld is considered the northern gateway to the Altmühltal Nature Park. With around 8,000 inhabitants, Pleinfeld is the fourth largest town in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district.

By train

The 1 Pleinfeld train station is on the Nuremberg – Treuchtlingen – Augsburg railway line. He belongs to the Transport association for the greater Nuremberg area. The one from the DB Regio AG Bavaria operated regional train or the regional express stops every hour, every half hour during the day.
