Skwierzyna (German: Schwerin on the Warta) is a historic city in the voivodeship Lebus north of the Lubusz Lake District as well as west of the Poznan Lake District at the mouth of the Obra in the Warta in Poland. The place lies in the border area of ​​the historical regions Greater Poland and Neumark, where it belongs to the former, between numerous lakes and is particularly known as a water sports center and for its historic old town.
