Chur Castle
- 1 Chur Castle (Churburg). Castel Coira is a medieval castle that houses the largest European private armory.
- Construction began around 1260 on commission from the prince-bishop of Chur Heinrch von Montfort. The core of the castle consisted of the tower, the boundary wall and the palace. It was built to contain the expansion of the lords of Mazia (Matsch).
- The diocese of Chur succumbed to Mainardo II of Tyrol-Gorizia, who gave the castle in 1297 to the Mazia family. In 1504 the Trapp counts took over from the extinct Mazia. They were responsible for the rebuilding of the palace and the chapel, but also the Renaissance frescoes (including two family trees) and the loggia.
- All the rooms of the castle are furnished with furniture and furnishings dating back to the different eras of the manor, starting with a wooden Madonna dating back to 1270. In the room of the ancestors, the portraits of all the Trapps from 1600 to 1800 are collected.
- The armor room is probably the best known. There are about 50 complete armor, as well as swords and other defensive weapons, all in excellent condition. These are the armor that belonged to the Matsch, the Trapp and the castle guardhouse.
- The most important piece is a 2.10 meter high armor dating back to 1450. The heavy 46 kg armor is the work of the Milanese gunsmith Missaglia and belonged to Ulrico Matsch.

Within the 15-hectare area various events, concerts, games and tournaments take place for a few days, including the Quintana, with noble knights engaged on steeds to make a good impression in the presence of the bridesmaids.
