Bad Bocklet is a market town in the north Lower Franconia. The Biedermeier bath on the edge of the Rhön is embedded in a loop in the valley of the Franconian Saale and is known for the strongest steel spring in Germany.

The Bad Bocklet market consists of seven parts of the municipality Aschach (with castle and museums), Bad Bocklet, Großenbrach, Hohn, Nickersfelden, Roth and Steinach.

In 1724 the pastor of Aschach, Johann-Georg Schöppner, discovered the steel spring. This started its reputation as a spa. But the designation "Bad" was only given in 1937. When the Balthasar Neumann spring was re-drilled in 1948, the real ascent to the well-known spa began.

Medicinal indications are heart and circulatory problems, vascular diseases, diseases of the rheumatic form and the nervous system, spinal column and gynecological problems.

In the modern era, there was an extension to the hall. The classical fountain temple dates from 1787 and the prince's building from 1766.
