Dürnkrut (Slovak Kruta / Suchá Kruta; Czech Suché Kruty) is a market town in Weinviertel directly on the March. Here, in the summer of 1278, between the Bohemian King Ottokar and the Habsburg Rudolf I. Battle of Dürnkrut instead, which secured the Habsburgs dominance over the region, which was to last until 1918.
