Überseequartier underground station (U4)

There are currently four underground lines in Hamburg. The U3 and U4 lines are particularly interesting for tourists.

  • The line U3Hamburg U3.svg runs above ground between baumall and landing stages and provides a view of the port of Hamburg. Interesting destinations include the Mönckebergstrasse shopping street at the subway station of the same name, the Speicherstadt at the Baumwall station, the landing bridges (with a transition to the harbor ferries and the harbor tours), the Reeperbahn at the St. Pauli station, the Hamburg planetarium and the city park at the Borgweg / Stadtpark station.
  • The line U4Hamburg U4.svg leads to HafenCity. The Überseequartier, HafenCity University and Elbbrücken stations are located there. The Hamburg International Maritime Museum is located near the Überseequartier station. The three new stations are spectacular and artistically designed. The Überseequartier station is supposed to represent the seabed with its color design, the HafenCity University station has a color design for the lighting, the Elbbrücken station was optically adapted to the bridges of the same name.

Train

  • The Hamburg S-Bahn is part of Hamburg's local transport system, and the lines are currently in operation S1Hamburg S1.svg, S11Hamburg S11.svg, S2Hamburg S2.svg, S21Hamburg S21.svg, S3Hamburg S3.svg and S31Hamburg S31.svg. The single-digit line numbers run through the city tunnel (via Jungfernstieg and Reeperbahn), the two-digit line numbers via the Lombard Bridge with halt among others at the Hamburg Dammtor train station as well as Sternschanze.
  • The construction of a fourth S-Bahn line to Bad Oldesloe is in planning, this will be the regional train line RB81Hamburg RB81.svg (Hamburg - Hbf - Bad Oldesloe).

Ferries

The HADAG ferries and the Elbe ferry Zollernspieker are part of Hamburg's city traffic, which run daily, there is neither season nor rest days.
