Ilshofen is a small town in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
background
The town lies between the Chasing and the Bühler, a tributary of the Kochers on the Hohenloher level. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1288, has had city rights since 1330 and was part of the imperial city for a long time Schwäbisch Hall. In 1802 Ilshofen became part of Württemberg. During the municipality reform in 1971/75, the four formerly independent municipalities of Eckartshausen, Obersteinach, Ruppertshofen and Unteraspach were incorporated into districts.
