background
Under the leadership of TVB chairman Gerd Erharter, the regions merged in 2005 Kössen, Walchsee, Rettenschöss and Schwendt under the common brand Kaiserwinkl. The Kaiserwinkl Tourist Association arranges offers for holiday guests and contacts to Kaiserwinkl landlords and tourist providers. The own infrastructure includes an outdoor pool in Kössen. With the guest card introduced in 2012, vacationers can use the regional bus in the Kaiserwinkl region, to Reit im Winkl and to Kufstein free of charge and receive many other benefits. The tourism association is also responsible for the design and maintenance of the infrastructure such as hiking and biking trails, cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails as well as supporting local events.

kitchen
Hay milk cheese
Hay milk cheese has become the culinary trademark of the Kaiserwinkl. The special thing about this cheese is the raw material. The milk may only come from cows that are not given any fermenting feed (silage). But just degrees and hay.
Six alpine dairies in Kaiserwinkl now produce their milk exclusively as hay milk and process it into hay milk cheese without any additive. Today it has long been part of the regular range of goods in supermarkets and can be found on the breakfast buffets at the landlords.
