The market Küps is lying in western Franconian Forest in the district Kronach in the Bavarian administrative district Upper Franconia on the Bavarian Porcelain Route. Küps is known for its high density of castles; there are eight castles for every 8,000 inhabitants in the municipality.

  • The former Moated Castle Tüschnitz has not been overbuilt since the castle was destroyed in 1632. It used to be a castle complex with an 11 x 12 meter residential tower from the 14th century, which was built from sandstone blocks.
