licata is located on the coast 47 kilometers southeast of Agrigento at an altitude of 8 m above sea level and with an area of ​​178.91 km². 38,130 people live there (30 Dec.2013) who mainly work in agriculture and industry. In addition, there are jobs in the service sector and in tourism. The city is crossed, as it were, by the river salso. The city has been paleolithic period inhabited. Since October 2013 Ryanair flights to Comiso from Brussels South (Charleroi) 55 km south of Brussels. Etna Trasportic and the bus company AST offer scheduled services from Aeroporto di Comiso via Gela to the city of Licata, (departure Comiso 6:00 pm, €5.80).
  •    Palermo (Falcone e Borsellino), Punta Raisi Airport-Cinis (35 km Palermo),  39 324 4190827 (mobile), toll free number: 800-541880. (IATA : PMO, ICAO : LICCJ). The train "Trinacria Express" operates between Punta Raisi Airport and the city Palermo. At Palermo Stazione Centrale station you can then train take to Licata station and change at Roccapalumbo-Alia and Caltanissetta. There are also direct buses from Palermo and the city of Licata Autolinee ATA, travel time: 02.45 hours, one way: €9.90, return: €16.80.
  •    Trapani (Vincenzo Florio Airport) (18 km Trapani),  39 0923 610111. (IATA : TPS, ICAO : LICK). AST provides a bus connection from Trapani Birgi Aeroporto to Mazara del Vallo, here you have to change to Castelvetrano (Salemi) to arrive in Licata via Sciacca and Agrigento.
