- Perugia. Provincial capital, with a historic center. To see include the medieval citadel Rocca Paolina and remnants of the (Pre-Roman) Etruscan civilization. There is also an underground route through the medieval streets of Perugia, which would later form the foundation for present-day Perugia.
- Assisi. Traditionally a place of pilgrimage, with Saint Francis of Assisi as one of the most famous inhabitants.

- Spello. Small town with a typical Umbrian atmosphere. The old center is quite steep on the slope of Monte Subasio, and consists of narrow streets and a few squares. The city has a number of sights from the Roman period and from the late Middle Ages and earlier Renaissance.
