By plane

  • The nearest international airport is in Dusseldorf, from which the city can be reached quickly by public transport (3/4 hour, via Düsseldorf) or via the A44.
  • The regional airport Düsseldorf-Mönchengladbach (EDLN) is located directly at the Neersen motorway junction (A52 / A44); the terminal is located on Flughafenstrasse. There are currently no line connections. There is a bus connection from MG main station; The next train stops are MG-Genhausen, Korschenbroich, Willich.

The bus network in Mönchengladbach is well developed and during the day most lines run every 20 minutes. During the week the first buses leave around 5:00 am and the last around 11:00 pm. On weekends there are night buses every hour until 3:15. You can also take the train between the different parts of the city. In addition to the two main train stations in Mönchengladbach and Rheydt, there are also stops in Lürrip, Rheindahlen, Wickrath and Odenkirchen.
