Polańczyk is a spa town in the voivodeship Subcarpathian in the southeast Poland by doing Sanok-Turka Mountains at the foot of the Bieszczady in the Forest Carpathians at the San, which is immediately south of the place for Solina reservoir is jammed.

The place was owned by the Kmity of 1580 Manasterzec and later Lesko first mentioned. In the course of the First Partition of Poland, the place came to the Habsburgs. After the First and Second World War he became Polish again. Part of the old Polańczyk is at the bottom of the reservoir. The residents were relocated to the new location in the 1960s. Polańczyk has been a state-approved health resort since 1974 and 1999 respectively. There is a large city beach with a marina on the lake. Excursion boats leave from the marina.

By train
Polańczyk is by train from Krakow reachable. The place is south of the railway line Nowy Sącz-Sanok. In Zagórz you have to change to the bus.

Regional buses go to Rzeszów and the surrounding towns.

The connecting road leads down to the river Sanok or up to the river by the Bieszczady National Park. The country road DK 28 leads north past the place.
