By car to reach the city you can take the Autostrada del Sole, that is the A1 Milan-Naples, then exit at the Reggio Emilia tollbooth.
On the train
The city is served by both lines (slow and fast) that make up the director Milan-Bologna. The station on the slow line is well served with all types of trains both north and south and is just over 1 km from the city center; instead the station on the high-speed line, Reggio Emilia Mediopadana, is served only by Frecciarossa and Italo which connect it with all the major Italian cities in a few hours and is about 5 km from the city center. bus line (5M) and the regional service on the Reggio Emilia-Guastalla line.

Events and parties
On November 24, the feast of San Prospero, patron saint of the city, is celebrated, for the occasion the most important squares of the historic center and the avenues of greater capacity are used as a fair with a large number of stalls.
From the end of August to about the first half of September, the Campovolo area hosts the provincial party of the Democratic Party, its long tradition and the great participation that is found there, make it one of the most important events in the year. Inside the festival there are many dining options with typical and non-traditional cuisine, shows, concerts, political and cultural debates, art exhibitions, bookstores, and an area reserved for commercial exhibitors. There are also other entertainment possibilities for adults and children.
Every Tuesday and Friday of the week in Piazza Prampolini, Piazza Martiri of 7 July is Fontanesi square (all in the historic center) the city market is held.
