background

The valley is the connection from the Lower Inn Valley (Worgl) with the Leukental (St. Johann in Tirol) and separates the imposing and rugged rock face of Wild Emperor in the north by the more gentle and green mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps on the south side of the valley.

mobility

The main route through the valley is the well-developed "Loferer Bundesstraße" B178. The road is part of the driveway into the Leukental (Kitzbühel) and part of the access route to the Tauern tunnel / Felbertauern route. Accordingly, considerable traffic and congestion can be expected along the entire route in winter after the lifts have closed and in summer on the weekends with the start / end of holidays.
