The small town Schillingsfürst, a state-approved resort, is located in the Swiss franc amount in the district Ansbach in Middle Franconia.
background
The first time in the year 1000 as Xillingesfirst called Schillingsfürst came in 1337 to the Count of Hohenlohe and remained under Hohenlohe rule until 1806, when it became a newly created kingdom Bavaria came. The founding of the new town on the ridge in 1757 led to the settlement of traveling people, which resulted in the penetration of many "Yenish" (Red Welsh) elements into the local language; The only condition for settlement was the Catholic denomination. The fighter regiment established in 1792 formed one of the bases of the later French Foreign Legion. The castle is still owned by the von Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst, who from 1894 to 1900 Chancellor of the German Empire. With the territorial reform in 1972, the place came from the disbanded district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber to the district of Ansbach.

- The Schillingsfürst Castle, its construction according to drafts of the Darmstadt superstructure inspector Louis Remy de la Fosse Completed in 1750, lies on a mountain spur in a dominant position. Two wall graves demarcate it from the hinterland. The three-storey three-wing complex is grouped around a deep inner courtyard. Two sandstone lions flank the coat of arms of the Princes of Hohenlohe above the gable of the main building. The interior decoration, richly stuccoed with banding and figurative representations, is "of remarkable quality" (Dehio manual). The floor inlays in some rooms are from Carl Maximilian Mattern. The stairwells in the wings with forged railings have emperor reliefs on the walls. Stucco work by Gabriel Gabrieli and his brother Francesco. Also noteworthy is the ceiling painting, which shows the triumph of justice. Open in 2019 except Mondays from April 9th to November 3rd. - The Courtyard garden was redesigned in the English style in the 19th century.
- The former District Court is a stately hipped roof building that emerged from the redesign of the former Jesuit college, in the arched style from the first half of the 19th century (mostly dated around 1800).
