The Altmuehl is a river in the southern part of the Franconian Alb in Bavaria. The Altmühl has its origin below the Swiss franc amount at Leutershausen in a wide valley and flows into the Main-Danube Canal with the Danube. Below Treuchtlingen it cuts through the mountains and decreases Dollnstein the original Urdonautal. The Altmühl and the Urdonau have formed a romantic valley with rugged limestone cliffs. This part to Kelheim is in Altmuehltal Nature Park.
The longest sections are in Middle Franconia, Upper Bavaria and Lower Bavaria. Only the section at Dietfurt is located in the Upper Palatinate.

kitchen
The Old Mill Franconian bratwurst is the coarsest in its design. The special distinguishing feature is the ribbon (epidermis / serosa of the pig's small intestine), which also makes it visually distinguishable from most other sausages. It is about ten to 12 centimeters long and weighs about 80 to 100 grams. It is not twisted off like others, but just squeezed out a little at the ends and then closed by folding the ends of the intestines.
