Sulzbach am Main (officially: Sulzbach a.Main) is a market in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg and is located directly on the Main, around 7 km south of Aschaffenburg on the western edge of the Spessarts. The market town consists of the three districts Sulzbach, Soden and Dornau.

By plane
The next major international airport is in airport Frankfurt
(IATA: FRA), about 55 kilometers in a north-westerly direction.
By train
The market town has its own stopping point in the network of the Maintalbahn (railway line Aschaffenburg–Miltenberg). This stop with a PR car park on the single-track railway line is used by regional railways, while the Regional Express trains only stop once a day.
By bus
There is a connection to the bus routes 1 (Aschaffenburg ROB - Obernau - Sulzbach) and 56 (Sulzbach - Niedernberg - Großostheim), 61 (Aschaffenburg - Sulzbach - Kleinwallstadt - Obernburg-Elsenfeld - Erlenbach - Klingenberg - Mönchberg), 62 (Aschaffenburg - Leidersbach - Hausen - Obernburg-Elsenfeld) and 63 (Aschaffenburg - Gailbach - Soden - Sulzbach - Dornau) of the transport association on the Bavarian Lower Main (VAB).
In the street
The busy state road 2309 runs directly through the town. It continues north to Aschaffenburg and south to Kleinwallstadt and Elsenfeld. Directly south of Sulzbach there is a bridge over the Main, which provides a direct connection to the main road 
in Großwallstadt or Niedernberg, which in turn enables a quick connection to the motorway 
Würzburg - Frankfurt offers.
By boat
Sulzbach is located directly on the Main, but does not have its own landing stage. The next boat moorings are z. B. in Aschaffenburg.
By bicycle
A partly paved, partly graveled cycle path runs along the Main. He is part of the Limes cycle path.[1]

The parking situation in town is relaxed. There are numerous free parking spaces throughout the town [2]. At the end of the village in the direction of Aschaffenburg there are two petrol stations (Oil and free petrol station) at a distance of about 200m, both of which are open daily until 10 p.m.

Churches
1 Church of St. Anna Sulzbach, Spessartstrasse 2. The St. Anna Church is the oldest church in Sulzbach. Construction began in 1786 and was completed in 1797. The church is a combination of late baroque forms with style elements of early classicism. There is a pillar porch on the north side. In the interior you will find baroque and classicist forms, as well as a baroque Dauphin organ built in 1710/25. A week of concerts takes place here regularly in November.
Buildings
The historical fortifications includes the town center as a late medieval fortification. Large areas of the approximately one kilometer long wall and towers have been preserved and have been painstakingly restored. A total of eight large information boards, which were set up along the wall, provide descriptions and background information. [3]

1 Mountain bike trail, Festplatz (Am Sportpl. 9). In the area around Sulzbach is a 29 kilometer long Mountain bike trail signposted. On the route, which runs almost 90% in the forest, about 650 meters in altitude have to be overcome with a maximum gradient of 25% and the longest ascent of 1.3 km. The vast majority of the route marked by yellow signs is on gravel or trail / dirt roads, only 2.7 km are on roads. Mountain bikers keep coming back to great vantage points.

3 Hutmannswald forest adventure trail, Höhwaldweg 48. The approximately 3.5 km. long circular route begins at the Schützenhaus. At 9 stations you can actively experience the connections with nature. In between there are numerous information boards on the flora and fauna of the Sulzbach Forest.Price: free.
4 Cultural hiking trails, Beech mill. Three cultural trails initiated by the Spessart Association lead to the three districts of Sulzbach am Main. A total of seven information boards provide information about the districts, nature (Mainaue), Altenburg and finds from the former Ruchelnheim church.

There is a glider airfield of the FSC Möve Obernau right on the northern border of Obernau. Here you can watch glider pilots taking off and landing when the weather is nice or you can even take part in a guest flight over the surrounding area. The airfield festival takes place on the site in the 2nd half of August.
