On May 31, 1990, the long-distance cycle path was presented in Hof. This was the first time it was possible to cycle from Germany to Germany on this cycle path.

From the Bayreuth city center, with the margravial castle and other sights, the path initially leads along the Red Main to the district Laineck. There the path leads parallel to the motorway Bindlachwhere he's right after Allersdorf branches off. Here the climb begins past the Bayreuth airfield Dressendorf. It goes over small ways Kottersreut and the Goldkronacher District Leisau to Bad Berneck.
