The Bayreuth airfield is located on the Bindlacher Berg. In earlier times, it was used by scheduled airlines to fly to Frankfurt, today it only serves business pilots and is used as a gliding center.

Bindlach is located on the federal highway 2 between Bayreuth and Hof, which leads directly through the town. The highway A9 separates the districts. Bindlach is via the exits Bayreuth-Nord and Bindlacher Berg at the motorway junction A9 and A70 reachable.
