Mehlmeisel is a municipality in the district Bayreuth in the Bavarian administrative district Upper Franconia in the Fichtelgebirge nature park on the upper reaches of the Fichtelnaab im Fichtelgebirge.

The nearest international airport is the Nuremberg Airport.

In the street

Flour chisel is on the highway A9 that of Munich above Nuremberg to Berlin leads from the exit Bayreuth-Nord approx. 30 km east of Bayreuth away on state road 2181. Alternatively, you can reach the place from the motorway A93regensburg to court from the Marktredwitz-Nord exit and federal road 303 to Fichtelberg and then continue on state road 2181 to the Mehlmeisel exit.

  • Local recreation center Bayreuth House. With observation tower Klausenturm, children's playground, game reserve with red and wild boar, ski lift, forest house, forest museum, discovery trail, Kneipp facility, lake and many hiking trails around the house.
  • Baroque pilgrimage chapel Maria Loreto, in the Unterlind district. Built in 1686.
  • neo-Romanesque Catholic parish church of St. John the Baptist, in flour chisel. Built in 1906/07.
