Gostyń (German: Gostyn) is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Greater Poland. The city lies between the Gnesen Lake District and the Militsch Lakes in the south of the historical region Greater Poland in the Poznan country not far from the border to Lower Silesia. The place is especially for that Marienbasilika on the Holy Mountain of the Philippine Monastery known by Giovanni Catenazzi and Georgio Catenazzi after the design of Baldassare Longhena was expanded.

In the street
The road network is well developed.
From Berlin the A12 leads to the border Slubice and further than Autostrada A2 to Poses. It's not far from there.
Alternatively, from southern Germany and Switzerland you can use Prague and from Austria over Brno drive and then from the Polish-Czech border the Autostrada A1 take to A2.

- Marienbasilika, originally Gothic, later from Giovanni Catenazzi and Georgio Catenazzi after the design of Baldassare Longhena rebuilt in the high baroque style. The basilica is based on the Venice church of Santa Maria della Salute, which is also from Longhena. Pompeo Ferrari and Johann Adam Bull rebuilt the basilica again in the 18th century.
