The Jülich Börde is also crossed by the A46 (Düsseldorf – Heinsberg) and A44 (Aachen – Mönchengladbach). The A1 (Cologne – Trier) also runs through the Zülpicher Börde.

The regional train line 21 (Rurtalbahn) crosses the entire region every hour in a north-south direction from Linnich via Jülich and Düren to Kreuzau and on to Heimbach in the Eifel. RB 38 (Erftbahn) runs every hour from Cologne via Kerpen-Horrem, Bergheim and Bedburg to Grevenbroich.
