Maria Alm at the Stone Sea is a community in Pinzgau, the southwestern region of the state Salzburg. The community is east of Saalfelden between the mountain ranges of the Stony sea and the Pinzgau grass mountains.

By bus

Maria Alm can be reached by bus from Saalfelden. In winter, buses leave the Saalfelden train station at 8.10, 8.25, 9.10, 10.10, 11.10, 12.25, 13.17, 14.10, 15.10 and 16.10, the journey takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Return from Maria Alm Abergbahn from 10:29 am every hour until 5:29 pm.

Alpine skiing

Maria Alm belongs to Hochkönig ski region with 33 lifts and around 150 kilometers of slopes. If that's not enough, you can use the ski pass Ski amadé can also leave its mark in four other regions. The Maria Alm lifts belong to the municipality of Maria Alm Aberg (1900 m), at the Gabühel (1730 m), at the Natrun (1200 m) and on Hinterreit (1000 m). A special treat is the so-called King tour from Maria Alm via Served to Mühlbach and back. 32 kilometers of slopes with an altitude difference of 7,500 meters are covered in one day. The expansion of the Dienten ski center, the new Sinalco cable car and the 6-seater Bürglalm chairlift make it possible to ski down the entire Hochkönig region in one day.
