In the street

  • Brünner Strasse: The old Reichsstrasse Vienna-Brno runs through the city. Today it is developed as a trunk road and bears the number B7 in Austria and number 52 in the Czech Republic. It is part of the European route E461. The old Reichsstraße was replaced in parts (Eibesbrunn-Schrick and Pohořelice-Brünn) by motorways (A5 and D52).
  • Czech trunk road 40: Mikulov-Břeclav via Valtice

A few kilometers south of Mikulov is the Mikulov-Drasenhofen border crossing. It was once one of the busiest and most congested border crossings between Austria and the Czech Republic, but border controls have been lifted since the Czech Republic joined the Schengen area. Since then, it has also become increasingly possible to cross the border using side roads.

By bike / on foot

  • The Iron Curtain Trail (Iron Curtain European Cycle Path) runs through the city.
