Uslar is a lovely small town in Southern Lower Saxony and state-approved climatic health resort. Uslar is located on the southwestern edge of the Sollings about 25 km northwest of Goettingen.

By plane
- Paderborn regional airport: With the train you drive over Ottbergen to Paderborn and continue with the bus; the journey time is around 2 1/2 hours (better from Offensen or Bodenfelde)
- Also the Frankfurt am Main airport is better accessible from open in 3 hours, about Goettingen. From Uslar connections are made via Northeim or the bus connection to Goettingen recommended.
- intl. Hanover Airport: here it is better to travel from Uslar with a change in Northeim. From Offensen you drive over Goettingen.
