Yamaguchi(Japanese: 山口 県, Yamaguchi-ken) is a prefecture in the region Chūgoku, Japan.
Regions
Yamaguchi borders the prefectures to the east Hiroshima and Shimane. Otherwise it is surrounded by water: it is in the north Japanese sea, in the south the Seto Inland Sea, and in the west separates the Strait of Kammon Yamaguchi from the island Kyushu.
