L'Rome-Fiumicino airport (IATA: FCO) is the main airport for the city of Rome as well as the main airport ofItaly. It is the busiest airport in the country and one of its two intercontinental hubs, the other being theMilan-Malpensa airport to Milan. It is located 32 km from the center of Rome, near the city of Fiumicino. It is not the only airport in Rome nor the closest to the city center: the other airport is that of Rome-Ciampino. The latter, located on the south-east side of the city, is 15 km from the city center and is served by low cost flights.

  • LeoExp: the Leonardo Express connects the airport directly to the Roma Termini station (110 daily connections, frequency of 15 min);

  • Frecciargento connects the airport to Genoa through the high-speed and traditional network with intermediate stops in Rome Tiburtina, Florence Campo di Marte, Pisa and La Spezia (frequency of 1 pair of trains per day);
  • Red Arrow connects the airport to Venice through the national high-speed network with intermediate stops in Rome Termini, Rome Tiburtina, Florence S.M.N., Bologna and Padua (frequency 2 pairs of trains per day).

  • Executive parking: Covered car parks with direct access to terminals T1 and T3 which allow the right to have priority access to the Fast Track.
  • Kiss & Go area: Quick stop area that allows you to pick up and / or accompany arriving and / or departing passengers. Stay time 15 minutes.
  • Short-term parking: Car parks located in front of the arrivals area of ​​terminals T1 and T3. At T1 they are covered and have 60 parking spaces, while at T3 they are uncovered and have 70 parking spaces. Free for the first 15 minutes.
  • Motorcycle parking: Covered car parks with 70 stalls. The entrance is on the ground floor of the P-Terminal A multi-storey car park

The rides to and from the Grande Raccordo Anulare instead cannot exceed € 70.00, while the rides to and from the city of Fiumicino are subject to a taximeter.

  • Terminal 1: It has 94 check-in desks (from number 001 to number 094) as well as several self check-in stations. There are also two security check areas (also in Fast-Track mode) located at the two ends of the terminal. Before the checks there is the Alitalia Lounge, intended for Business Class passengers and SkyPriority guests, as well as a version for minors (Alitalia Lounge Young). In front of T1 and T3 (1 minute walk) there is the new HelloSky lounge, open to all, as well as the only lounge located in the non-sterile area, outside the security checkpoints (land side).
  • Terminal 3: It has 231 check-in stations (numbers 201-432). There are several lounges in this terminal belonging to different airlines and alliances. Of particular note is the new Casa Alitalia Roma lounge located in the E31-44 boarding area (Satellite) as well as the Freccia Alata Borromini (area D) and Freccia Alata Le Navi (area E51-61) lounges. Aeroporti di Roma provides paid vouchers for entry to the lounges and Fast-Track for all those who do not belong to the exclusive airline clubs; in addition, it is also possible to purchase an exclusive service called "Welcome VIP" which provides for accompaniment (or pick-up in case of arrival) directly to the aircraft steps by means of a vehicle with driver made available by the company.
