The vacation community Berwang lies in the Lechtal Alps and near the German border in Except far (Reutte district) in the Austrian State of Tyrol.

Berwang is located in the Berwanger Tal, a smaller southern side valley of the Zwischenentorental (main route of the Fernpass road).

In the street
In Bichlbach the junction takes place from Fernpaßstraße (B 179), this is the main route through the Ausserfern, to Berwang:
Out Austria (Upper Inn Valley, Nassereith) over the Fernpass and on to Bichlbach and there junction to Berwang;
Out Germany:
- Of Munich above Garmisch-Partenkirchen Direction Fernpass, and over to the Austrian Genze Lermoos Direction Reutte to Bichlbach and on to Berwang;
- Of Memmingen above Kempten, Pfronten and Feet via the B179 and Reutte Direction Fernpass to Bichlbach and on to Berwang;

Tourist Attractions
- Parish Church of St. Jacob the Apostle, in Berwang. Erected in the 15th century and rebuilt and expanded in 1734.
- Church of St. Anthony / Visitation of the Virgin Mary, in the Kleinstockachtal. Built in 1680, buried in an avalanche in 1844, then rebuilt and dedicated to the Feast of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary.

- The local mountain above Berwang with a promising summit is the strikingly rocky and rugged one to the north Thaneller, but it shows its gentle side to the southeast and can be reached from Berwang in an easy hike over around 1000 meters in altitude in a good three hours (or even faster).
