The Eisack Valley located in South-Tirol and is one of the main valleys in the region.

The 1 Eisack rises near the Brenner Pass at an altitude of 1990 m and reaches at the place burner the South Tyrolean part of the Wipptals. After 50 kilometers of river the river reaches the place Franzensfeste, further south the valley is called Eisack Valley designated. Now the river carries enough water to generate electricity, there are barrages at Franzensfeste Klausen and at Waidbruck. After a total of 100 kilometers of river, it reaches south of Bolzano his 2 mouth in the Etsch. On the east side, the Eisack valley is covered by the western dolomites flanked on its west side by the Sarntal Alps.

In the street
- Of north or south: The route of the Innsbruck-Brenner-Brixen-Bozen-Trient motorway (A 13 - Brenner motorway, in Italy A 22) runs in full length through the region.
- Parallel to A22 runs the SS12, there is no toll, but you need a lot more time.
By train
The train stations are in Brixen, Klausen and Bolzano are station for Intercity and Eurocity trains (train timetables under www.trenitalia.com).
By plane
The nearest airport is that of Bolzano (www.abd-airport.it), other airports are located in innsbruck (approx. 1 hour by car) and in Verona and Munich (approx. 2.5 - 3 hours by car);

- The Keschtnweg, the Eisack Valley Chestnut Hiking Trail runs from Neustift Abbey near Brixen along the slopes of the Eisack Valley to the Ritten high plateau. The path is 63 km long with a total of around 2000 meters of altitude and is covered in several daily stages. Information on the route can be found here, or here

The Isarco Valley is the northernmost wine-growing region in Italy, and many of Italy's best white wines mature here. Apples are grown by apple growers up to the high plateau of Naz-Sciaves. Also known is the Barbian plum, which is used for jam, plum dumplings and plum strudel. Bee honey made from alpine flowers has an intense taste. Milk from the mountain farmers' pastures is processed into yoghurt, butter and cheese. Chestnuts are often eaten with wine at Törggelen and they also refine many dishes. Local dishes are prepared in the inns from products from local agriculture, which will also convince gourmets.
