Selbitz (Upper Franconia) is a town in the district of Hof in the Bavarian administrative district Upper Franconia. It is located on the Selbitztal and on the edge of the Franconian Forest.

The Selbitz has the romantic on its last kilometers up to the confluence with the Saale Hell Valley created at Bad Steben. It can be easily reached by bike from Selbitz on the Selbitztalweg.
The next bigger places in the area are:
- Schauenstein (5 km south, via Volkmannsgrün) - Fire Brigade Museum
- Naila (4 km to the west) - a place near which a GDR refugee family landed in a hot air balloon in 1979. The original balloon is in the Nailaer Museum.
- Schwarzenbach am Wald (6 km to the west, via Döbra) - a holiday resort at the foot of the Döbraberges.
- Bad Steben (10 km northwest, via Naila) - offers a thermal bath with mineral water and a large sauna area and a casino.
