background
language
The inhabitants of Trøndelag are called trønder.
The dialect in the area is called Trøndersk, it is characterized by the fact that the end vowels are missing.
getting there
By plane
The 1 Trondheim Lufthavn, Værnes(IATA: TRD)Vaernes airport is 35 km east of Trondheim (rail connection) and around 90 km south of Steinkjer.
By train
The Nordlandsbahn (Trondheim-Bodø) crosses the inland just like the E6.
In the street
The inland runs through the province, in a south-north direction E6.
By boat
The ships of the Hurtigruten connect the coastal towns of the region with those of the wider west coast.
mobility
The villages are accessible with different bus lines, but they don't run too often (mostly only 2-3 connections daily). The Nordlandbahn also seldom runs north of Steinkjer. On weekdays there are frequent regional train connections to Trondheim with service from Vaernes airport.
The road network is usable, but in addition to the main routes, very narrow roads are to be expected and therefore not necessarily always suitable for campers.
