Østlandet or Eastern Norway is the part of the country around the capital Oslo. Most of the people in the country live here.

Østlandet consisted of the traditional Fylker until the regional reform on Jan. 1, 2020 Akershus, Buskerud, Hedmark, Oppland, Østfold, Telemark and Vestfold, with the capital Oslo in the center of these provinces. During this regional reform, the former provinces of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold became a county Viken united, the provinces Hedmark and Oppland became the county Domestic, and the Fylker became Vestfold and Telemark Vestfold and Telemark. The capital Oslo now also has the status of a county. Thus, Eastern Norway currently consists of the provinces Vestfold and Telemark, Domestic, Viken and Oslo.
