In the street

From Germany: By ferry from Rostock or Travemünde to Trelleborg or after Gothenburg, then on the E6 above Oslo and Trondheim further north. The E6 ends after approx. 3,000 km at Kirkenes. Alternatively, from Gothenburg on the E45 be driven through Sweden, there are several cross-connections E8E10E12 to the Norwegian coast.

By boat

The traditional route of the Hurtigruten leads from Mountains above Trondheim, Bodø, Tromso and Hammerfest to Kirkenes and back. Hurtigruten is the Norwegian name for The fast line. Since 1893, the Hurtigruten has been connecting the towns on the Norwegian west coast, which is over 2,700 kilometers long, as post ships. The ships are still an important part of the basic service, especially in the northern part of the route, and are therefore subsidized by the state.
