Czestochowa(Polish: Czestochowa) is a city in Poland in the Silesian Voivodeship in the historical Lesser Poland on the northern edge of the Krakow-Czestochowa Jurassic at the Warta. The city is particularly known for its Marian shrine in the Pauline monastery on Hellen Berg.

Czestochowa is a member of the “Shrines of Europe” cooperation, the amalgamation of the six most important Marian pilgrimage centers in Europe also includes Czestochowa Altoetting, Loreto, Fatima, Mariazell and Lourdes.

Czestochowa is an important transport hub in central Poland.
By plane
About the internationaken Katowice Airport, about 50 km south of the A1 motorway. Alternatively, you can also use the international Krakow Airport use.
By train
The direct arrival by train is from Germany (via Dresden and Wroclaw) possible without any problems.
By bus
Long-distance and regional buses drive to the place.
In the street
After one Katowice (e.g. via the A4 motorway), follow main road 1 in the direction Danzig (Gdańsk). In any case, it is very easy if you observe the numerous signposts.
