Turek (German also: Turek) is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Greater Poland on the Tureker plateau at the Kiełbaska, a tributary of the Warta. The city is located in the south of the historical region Greater Poland on the border between the historical principalities Lentschitzer country and Sieradzer country not far from today's border with the voivodeship Łódź.

The closest international Airport is at Poses. Other nearby international airports are the Wroclaw Airport at Wroclaw, the Katowice Airport at Katowice and the Krakow Airport at Krakow.
By train
The place has a train station that over Poses is attainable.
By bus
Intercity buses run regularly to Poses and long-distance buses to other cities in the region.
In the street
The road network is well developed.
From Berlin the A12 leads to the border Slubice and further than Autostrada A2 to Poses. It's not far from there.
Alternatively, from southern Germany and Switzerland you can use Prague and from Austria over Brno drive and then from the Polish-Czech border the Autostrada A1 take to A2.
