Route description with sights
- Rothenburg ob der Tauber has a well-preserved old town from the Middle Ages and is considered one of the most romantic cities in Germany.
The Rothenburg train station is the start or end of the cycle path. First it's out of town and down to Schweinsdorf. Up the mountain to Hartershofen and further up to the highest point of the cycle path. From the top it only goes downhill, passing under the A 7 Steinach an der Ens to Steinach. The first train station on the route is here. Strong slope just before Burgbernheim.
The watershed runs through this area Main/Rhine and Danube. The Aisch rises near Schwebheim, which belongs to the municipality of Burgbernheim, whose water flows into the North Sea. The Aisch spring is enclosed and can be easily found. The outflow ditch of the Hornauer Weiher, which is fed by several streams, was previously designated as the Altmühl spring;
