Language

Of course the language spoken here is German, but the Bayerian dialect is quite difficult to understand (even for Germans). In the big cities (especially in Munich) where many tourists come, you can generally also speak English.

Deutsche Bahn operates the long-distance connections within Germany. The ICE trains run from Munich and Nuremberg to Cologne, among others, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin. International trains (EuroCity) run to Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Zurich and Prague.

Deutsche Bahn provides rail traffic on most of the route sections in Bayern.
